All new bloggers experience the humbling moment of having zero traffic to their site. The good news is that there are lots of ways to drive traffic to your blog, even if it’s brand new!
If you’ve read this post than you know that I ascribe to the 80/20 rule which is to spend 20% of my time writing a blog post and 80% of my time promoting it. Below you will find 55 ways to promote your content and drive traffic to your website.
Facebook:
1. Tell your friends & family about your new blog in a status from your personal Facebook page
2. Add a link to your website from your personal Facebook profile
3. Set up a Facebook page for your Blog
4. Ask your friends & family to share your blog post on their FB page
5. Run Facebook Ads
6. Join a blog sharing FB group (Likes this one or this one)
7. Start a Facebook group for your niche & post your latest blog posts in the group
Twitter:
8. Tweet about your new blog
9. Ask your friends to RT your tweet
10. Run Twitter ads
LinkedIn:
11. Add a link to your blog in your LinkedIn Profile
12. Share your new blog posts as status updates on LinkedIn
13. Join relevant LinkedIn groups & post links to your content when appropriate
Pinterest:
14. Pin your blog post on Pinterest
15. Join Group boards & Pin your blog posts on the group boards
16. Set up Pinterest Ads
Instagram:
17. Share your blog post on Instagram
18. Use hashtags on Instagram to find your ideal audience
19. Run Instagram Ads

20. Submit your blog to Google
21. Set up a Google+ page & link to your blog
22. Run Google Ads
Email:
23. Put a link in your email signature
24. Send an email to your contact list announcing your new blog

41. Use CoPromote to promote your blog post
42. Use Viral Content Buzz to get people to share your posts
43. Buy a Fiverr gig to drive traffic to your website

45. Submit your blog to DMOZ
46. Submit your blog to a relevant AllTop topic
47. List your blog in online blog directories
Offline Promotion:
48. Create business cards & add your URL to the business card
