It’s Time for a Mommy Time-Out! 4 Ways to Find Time for Yourself

Being a parent is one of the most rewarding things that you can do in your life and it is the best job in the world. It is such a blessing to be able to wake up every morning and see the smiling faces of the children in your lives. However, being a parent takes a lot of you and can make you a bit crazy at times. I think all of the parents out there know exactly what I am talking about, sometimes you just need a bit of time to yourself to relax and de-stress from everything going on in life. I am going to be sharing all of you a few tips and tricks for finding time for yourself even when you have small children!
-Take Advantage of Nap Time: A lot of parents out there don’t take advantage of nap time like they really should! Nap time is a great time to sit down and watch a movie that you’ve been wanting to see, or maybe taking a nice and relaxing bubble bath. You could possibly even take that time to take a little nap yourself! Parenting can take a lot out of you and make you extremely tired, so fitting in a nap is always a bonus.
-Leave the Baby with Your Spouse: Having a partner is always a bonus because you can always leave the kiddos with them and have a night out on your own with your friends. You probably won’t be able to do this often, but every once in a while won’t hurt anything.
-Hire a Sitter: Another really great way to get some time to yourself or time with your loved one is to simply hire a sitter! There is absolutely nothing wrong with hiring a sitter for one night and going out to have a good time. Trust me, I know that parenting can get to be extremely stressful at times and sometimes you just need a bit of a break to relax.
-Gym with Daycare: A great way to get some time for yourself is workout. You will be getting healthy all while having a bit of time to yourself. There are a ton of gyms out there that offer the convenience of an on-site daycare that is included in the fee of your gym membership.
Even though being a parent is such an amazing and special thing in our lives, it can get to be a bit stressful for us. There is absolutely nothing wrong with needing to take a bit of a break and having a bit of me-time. Be sure to make a bit of time for yourself and keep your sanity! LOL

    Yes! I really try and enjoy nap time.. sometimes I get tempted to clean the house or “get things done” but that quiet time is so rare that I make myself sit and read, or blog or watch something I want to watch on TV (no more Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, thank you…)

    Oh nap time! I used to use it to do laundry, clean, etc, but now I’ve gotten to where I use it to blog, craft, or work on projects that I enjoy!

    These are great, as a mom I often put myself on the back burner. I need to enjoy my time, rather than trying to get something accomplished during nap or play time with dad.
